Our Plastic Surgeons:

Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery.

There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our surgeon directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain that standard in order to remain in our surgeon directory.

About Cosmetic Surgeons:
Some refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic surgeon is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic surgeons" are not American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) certified plastic surgeons. When considering any plastic surgery procedure of the body, such as lipo, tummy tucks and breast surgery, you can be sure your doctor is qualified, trained and experienced in plastic surgery by looking for a plastic surgeon that is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Implants were positioned really well - they have since dropped even more, but even 2 weeks after surgery I looked like most girls do after 3 months. This is great because I've seen after pix of girls with armpit incisions and the implants are so high it's disgusting. Very natural look, which was what I asked for. My incisions were throughout the armpit, 270 cc implants filled to 300, under the muscle - round smooth Mentor. Price was good - I unfortunately had to pay a little more because his office was being renovated, therefore I had to pay to have the surgery done at the hospital (room charge). ! Meet Chicago, Illinois Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Turowski

In addition to his eight years of clinical training during which he performed several thousands surgeries, Dr. Turowski has completed a postgraduate research fellowship at Yale and holds a Ph.D. in surgery. He is an author of numerous articles and lectures in the field of plastic surgery and wound healing for which he received many awards. While in Boston, Dr. Turowski has been a teaching faculty member at Harvard Medical School and currently is on clinical teaching staff at the University of Chicago.

After coming to Chicago, Dr. Turowski has spent several years in private practice on the Downtown Chicago Gold Coast and the North Shore. Currently, he is a Medical Director and the founder of the New Horizons Center for Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Gregory Turowski is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons (FACS). He was chosen by his peers to be included in the Castle Connolly’s Guides "Top Doctors - Chicago Metropolitan Area" several years in the row and is also featured in the American Registry’s - "America’s Top Surgeons".

Dr. Turowski frequently lectures, and has been interviewed by several TV and Radio stations. His surgeries have been taped for teaching purposes and among others, he appeared on The Learning Channel (TLC) series where he demonstrated breast augmentation surgery.

Specializing in cosmetic surgery of the face and body Dr. Turowski has also a special interest in reconstructive breast surgery for congenital breast anomalies, post-mastectomy breast cancer reconstruction and breast reduction surgery. He places special emphasis on minimally invasive, endoscopic plastic surgery.
