Dr. Lynch went on to perform one of the first toe-to-thumb transplants in New York. His training in plastic surgery includes extensive cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Lynch has been a member of the Plastic Surgery Group of W.B. Macomber in Albany, NY for the past 20 years. He has performed over 8,000 facial plastic surgery and body contouring operations.
He has published articles in the Journal of Plastic Surgery, the Annals of Surgery, the Journal of Urology, and the Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry. He has also coauthored a chapter in Starks: Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Lynch has operative privileges at the Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital, and Memorial Hospital. He was Medical Advisor to the American Cancer Society's Medical Affairs Committee for breast reconstruction for over 10 years.
